An individual protesting against Israel’s participation in the Tour de France was swiftly apprehended after attempting to obstruct the prestigious cycling race.
The man jumped over a barricade near the finish line, running towards the racers and reportedly objecting to Israel’s involvement while carrying unidentified objects.
Security personnel responded quickly, with one guard intercepting the protester just 25 meters from the finish line, tackling him and then forcefully moving him away from the area.
The incident took place during Stage 11 of the three-week-long competition as leading cyclists were nearing the conclusion of the 97.5-mile route around southern France.
