Torrential rains in South Korea for four days on Saturday forced nearly 3,000 people to remain away from their homes as the death toll reached four individuals. Rain is expected to continue until Monday, with authorities warning of the risks of landslides and floods throughout the majority of the country.
By 6am on Saturday, 2,816 individuals were still displaced, accounting for over 7,000 individuals who were evacuated during the heavy rainfall. Four deaths and two missing persons were reported.

Rainfall since Wednesday had already reached a record of more than 500mm in Seosan, located in the South Chungcheong province south of Seoul.
Elsewhere in the province, cows were desperately trying to remain afloat as sheds and stables flooded.
According to the ministry, water-damaged structures totaled over 641 buildings, 388 roads, and 59 farms.
Rain is also predicted in neighboring North Korea, with 150-200mm of rain expected in some northern areas between Sunday and Tuesday and up to 300mm in certain remote regions, according to the state newspaper Rodong Sinmun.
