Yesterday, only 36 assistance trucks made their way into Gaza, which is far from the required 600, according to Palestinian officials’ assertions.

Only 36 aid trucks entered Gaza yesterday, despite the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the enclave, as warned by Palestinian officials.

According to the Gazan government’s media office, most of the humanitarian supplies were looted due to the “state of security chaos” that the Israeli occupation is accused of perpetuating.

Officials emphasize that at least 600 truckloads of aid are required daily, noting, “The needs of the population are worsening.”

A late-night statement called for the immediate opening of borders and the sufficient entry of aid and infant formula, condemning the ongoing “crime of starvation”.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refuted these claims and accused Hamas of spreading a “slanderous propaganda campaign against Israel”.

He stated: “The cruelty of Hamas has no boundaries. While Israel allows humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, Hamas terrorists are deliberately starving our hostages and document these acts in a cynical and evil manner. The terrorists are also starving the residents of the Strip, preventing them from receiving aid.”

Additionally, the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza reported that its headquarters in Khan Younis were hit by an Israeli strike, resulting in one staff death and three injuries.

Social media footage shows a fire outbreak in the building.

Indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel for a 60-day ceasefire and a hostage release deal ended in a stalemate last week.

US President Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy assured the families of the hostages that he is working on a plan with the Israeli government to end the war.

Steve Witkoff claimed that Hamas is willing to disarm to settle the conflict, contradicting Hamas’ statements that they will not disarm without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Following Mr. Witkoff’s meeting with the families of the hostages, Hamas released two disturbing videos of an emaciated Israeli hostage, Evyatar David, who has been held in captivity since being abducted from the Nova music festival on 7 October 2023. The 24-year-old appears skeletal, stating that he has not eaten for three days, and is shown digging his own grave in the footage.
