An Irish missionary is among the nine individuals taken hostage during a raid on an orphanage in Haiti.

On Sunday, early in the morning, nine individuals, among them an Irish missionary and a three-year-old child, were abducted from an orphanage located in the vicinity of Haiti’s capital. This incident is being associated with the country’s intensifying gang violence. At present, no ransom demands have been received.
