An Italian fan of Oasis, Alessandro Croce, passed away in his hotel room just hours before he was scheduled to watch the band perform in Edinburgh last week.
Croce, 30, hailing from Teramo in central Italy, was found unconscious at his hotel on August 9th, a short time before the concert at Murrayfield Stadium.
Unfortunately, his friends were unable to revive him, and despite the efforts of paramedics, Croce could not be saved.
Reports suggest that Croce suffered a heart attack, as confirmed by Sky News Italia.
Tributes have been pouring in for the dentist and amateur basketball player.
Mayor of Teramo, Gianguido D’Alberto, issued a statement expressing the city’s deep sorrow over Croce’s passing. He extended his condolences to Croce’s family, including his parents and sister, Giulia.
Basketball Teramo expressed their profound sadness and declared that their community is grieving the sudden loss of their teammate and an integral part of their history. They stated that Croce’s memory and spirit would forever be present in every match.
