According to Spain’s weather agency, Aemet, the mercury surged beyond 44 degrees Celsius at various locations. Warning has been issued for a treacherous risk of fiery outbreaks plaguing almost the entire nation.
In Spain, more than 1,500 square kilometers of land have been charred into oblivion by the raging fires, claiming the lives of seven unfortunate souls. The heatwave’s relentless wave has also ignited wildfires across Spain, Portugal, Greece, France, and the Balkans, scorching widespread regions in southern Europe.
