Transgender far-right activist from Germany, who was found guilty, to undergo incarceration in a women’s correctional facility

During the summer of 2023, a person previously known as Sven received a sentence from the district court in Halle – one and a half years in prison without any probationary measures. In an interesting twist, following this, Sven chose to undergo a name change, embracing their identity as Marla-Svenja. This personal transformation was smooth and official, thanks to the facilitation of a recent legal change allowing such a name change by simple deed poll.
