Ex-NSW police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon set to contest allegations of killing two individuals | Sydney

A former police officer named Beaumont Lamarre-Condon plans to fight accusations of murdering two men using his service weapon, according to his lawyer. Lamarre-Condon will plead not guilty to the two counts of murder involving the deaths of Luke Davies, a 29-year-old flight attendant, and Jesse Baird, a 26-year-old TV presenter, which occurred in February 2024. The incident allegedly took place at Baird’s home in Paddington, Sydney, with the accused shooting the couple and then disposing of their bodies in surfboard bags at a rural property. The remains were discovered after Lamarre-Condon, who is also 29, turned himself in. The case has gone through various delays, with the Crown prosecutor previously opposing any further delays, arguing that Lamarre-Condon had ample time to enter his pleas. The former police officer, who joined the force in 2019 and has a history of interactions with celebrities, was dismissed by NSW Police in March 2024. The crimes are charged as domestic violence-related murder and aggravated break and enter, with police claiming the attack was premeditated, following a prolonged campaign of predatory behavior against Baird. Lamarre-Condon had a brief romantic relationship with Baird before the victim started dating Davies. The matter is scheduled for the NSW Supreme Court on October 3, with the defendant remaining in custody.
