Rescue teams rush to provide aid to isolated regions in Afghanistan following a catastrophic earthquake

In a bid to find survivors of a devastating earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale, which claimed the lives of over 800 individuals, locals from the affected areas in eastern Afghanistan united with rescue teams on Tuesday. The occurrence of this disaster has intensified the already dire humanitarian situation in the country, as international assistance has seen a reduction since the Taliban’s comeback in 2021.
