Upon arrival, as Trump shook hands with King Charles III, a ceremonial salute of 41 guns was fired from World War I–era cannons on the castle’s east lawn. A similar ceremony took place at the Tower of London.

Following the welcome, the Trumps and the royal family proceeded on a carriage procession through the Windsor estate to the historic castle, accompanied by military bands playing the US and British national anthems.

Upon arrival at the quadrangle, Trump and King Charles III inspected an honor guard. The ceremony included 120 horses and 1,300 members of the British military, marking the largest military ceremonial welcome for a state visit to Britain in recent history.

The Trumps will spend the night as guests of the king and queen at the 1,000-year-old castle.
