A US country club hosting a wedding in New Hampshire has been the scene of a shooting, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries according to local police.

A suspect was apprehended at the scene by police officers who reported that “a single male had entered the club and fired several shots”.
According to eyewitnesses, the country club was in the midst of a wedding ceremony and diners were also present at its restaurant when the suspect entered and began shooting people.
New Hampshire congresswoman Maggie Goodlander expressed her distress over the incidents, offering support to the victims, their families, and the entire community.

In a news briefing, Peter Hinkley, a senior assistant attorney general of New Hampshire, remarked on the unusual nature of the incident, stating, “this is not something people expect to happen on a Saturday night in Nashua, New Hampshire.”
Located approximately 45 miles (70 kilometres) northwest of Boston, just beyond the Massachusetts border, Nashua distinguishes itself as the sole American city to have been named “Number 1 Best Place to Live” twice by Money magazine.
Forbes magazine has also recognized it among the top seven most livable cities in the United States.
Attorney General John Formella and Nashua Police Department Chief Kevin Rourke provided a joint statement:
“This evening, officers responded to 911 calls from the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua regarding reports of gunfire.
“Through our investigation, it was found that a single adult male entered the club and fired several gunshots, resulting in the death of one adult male and injuries to several others.”
