A man known as the Night Stalker, who terrorized women in Sydney during the early 1990s, has pleaded guilty to 13 charges. Appearing before Downing Centre Local Court, now 61-year-old Glenn Gary Cameron admitted to his crimes after his identity was uncovered. He had been undersecret suppression orders since his arrest over 18 months ago. Cameron is accused of assaulting at least 10 women between 1991 and 1993, primarily in Sydney’s inner-west and eastern suburbs, including Moore Park. Initially facing 36 charges, including aggravated sexual assault and indecent assault, he pleaded guilty to 11 counts of aggravated sexual assault, one count of attempted aggravated assault, and one count of indecent assault. Nine charges were withdrawn, with the rest to be considered during sentencing. Cameron’s sentencing is set for 24 October.
