US President Donald Trump seemed to shift his rhetoric about the war in Ukraine after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the UN General Assembly. Trump stated on Truth Social that Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and win back all of its territory. Much of Ukraine’s territory, including Crimea, is currently under Russian control. However, the EU’s security is tied to that of Ukraine, and countries like Denmark and Sweden are noting airspace violations by Russia. Swedish Defense Minister Pal Jonson stated that supporting Ukraine is an investment in their own security as the country acts as a shield against Russia’s military expansion.
