On Sunday, March 9, a half marathon took place in Paris, attracting a record 48,000 participants. The course went through popular attractions and was mostly flat. Kenyan athlete Kennedy Kimmutai won the race, but did not break the event’s record with a time of 1:00:16. He was followed by his compatriots Timothy Kosgei (1:00:22) and Timothy Kibet (1:00:44), making all podium places occupied by Kenyan runners.
