Egyptian achieves global record for biting strength by hauling a 279-tonne train unaided

On Thursday, an Egyptian wrestler and strongman achieved a new Guinness World Record after using only his strength and his teeth to pull a train weighing 279 tonnes.

Ashraf Kabonga, also known as Ashraf Mahrous, successfully pulled the locomotive and several carriages nearly 10 meters along the tracks at the Ramses Station in Cairo.

As people gathered around to watch and cheer, Kabonga broke the previous record by 19 tonnes and set his third record within just two days.

“I pulled a train weighing 279 tonnes using my teeth and shoulder today, and yesterday I broke the record by pulling a two-tonne car for 107 meters in just 37 seconds,” he said.

Additionally, Kabonga holds other records such as cracking and eating 11 raw eggs in 30 seconds and pulling a truck weighing 15,730 kilograms, also using only his teeth.

In his 40s, Kabonga serves as the president of the Egyptian Federation for Professional Wrestlers.
