Marc Marquez Claims Victory in Argentina MotoGP, Sustaining Impressive Winning Streak | Motorsports News

Marc Marquez, a six-time MotoGP world champion, extended his unbeaten streak in 2025 by clinching victory at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit in Argentina. In a closely contested race, Marquez, who rides for Ducati, overtook his brother Alex, of Gresini Racing, to finish in the top two yet again. Completing the podium was Franco Morbidelli of VR46 Racing. This marks the second occasion within two weeks that the Marquez brothers have achieved the feat of finishing first and second, a迹象乍现现象不常见的现象。

Marquez’s victory in Argentina, his homecoming after 2019, showed his dominance except for one brief moment when he made an error, allowing Alex to momentarily gain an advantage. However, Marc swiftly reclaimed the lead and maintained it till the end.

This triumph also signified Marquez’s 90th win across all classes, an achievement that ties him with the legendary Angel Nieto. Marquez paid tribute to Nieto by wearing a racing wreath inscribed with “Gracias Angel,” looking upwards as a sign of respect.

Despite facing challenges on the day, including difficulties with his bike’s rear, Marquez showcased remarkable resilience. Recognizing his brother’s control over the race, he considered finishing second as a viable outcome before ultimately finding his rhythm and winning.

Other notable performances included Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati finishing fourth and Fabio Di Giannantonio of VR46 Racing taking fifth place. Bagnaia, now 31 points behind Marquez in the standings, and Di Giannantonio’s performances add to the competitive atmosphere in MotoGP.

The next event in the 22-round season will be held at the Americas MotoGP in Austin, Texas, from March 28 to 30, providing an exciting opportunity for riders to further prove their mettle.
