Electrical supply in Cuba was progressively reinstated on Sunday, following a brief total blackout on the island due to a malfunction at a principal substation. Union Electrica, the state entity in charge of the electrical grid, confirmed that the majority of Havana, the capital city, and the eastern regions are already receiving power. The entity also made it clear that service in the western parts is predicted to resume by the end of the day.
