Tiger Woods has confirmed that he is in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of Donald Trump.

On Sunday, Woods officially announced the news stating, “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side. We look forward to our journey through life together.” He shared this news on X to his 6.4 million followers, while also requesting privacy for those close to their hearts.

Vanessa was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 to 2018, with whom she has five children, including 17-year-old Kai, who will play golf at the University of Miami in 2026. Kai, along with Woods’s children, Sam and Charlie, competed in the same invitational tournament this week.

For the past several weeks, Woods and Vanessa Trump had been subjects of gossip. Recently, Woods announced an injury that ruled him out of the Masters.

It remains unclear what motivated Woods, known for his private personal life, to confirm his relationship with photos. The move echoed his 2013 approval of social media to announce his relationship with Lindsey Vonn.

Woods previously discussed his intent to limit ‘stalkarazzi’ and invasive websites that follow his affairs in a bid to prevent dangerous situations for his children. He further mentioned that photos from these sources would lose their currency.

Sam and Charlie are from Woods’s marriage to Elin Nordegren, who divorced him in 2010 due to multiple affairs he engaged in.

Woods’s only other known relationship was with Erica Herman, which ended in October 2022. After a tumultuous separation, Herman ultimately dropped lawsuits against Woods and the trust owning his south Florida estate.

Woods has golfed with Donald Trump several times. In 2019, Trump awarded Woods the presidential medal of freedom. Earlier this year, Woods attended a White House meeting with Trump to discuss the divides in golf stemming from the rise of the Saudi-backed LIV tour.
