Henkel, a Germany-based company, has initiated a recall of more than 1,000 bottles of Tec Italy Shampoo Totale distributed in the United States through New York and California. The potential contamination involves Klebsiella oxytoca bacteria, which may cause serious infections, particularly for those with weakened immune systems. The recall was issued from Henkel’s Mexico branch and affects 1,068 bottles. As of now, no health issues have been reported in relation to the bacteria found during a microbiological analysis. If individuals experience symptoms or have medical concerns, they are advised to consult a physician immediately. The recall applies to shampoo bottles packaged in green 1 litre plastic bottles, bearing the Universal Product Code (UPC) 7501438375850. The shampoo can also be purchased online in Europe.
