Qatar hosted a second round of negotiations involving the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. Additionally, Qatari mediators engaged in individual meetings with representatives from the M23 rebel group, which is supported by Rwanda. This follows a previous meeting in Doha between DRC President Felix Tshisekedi and his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame, marking their first discussions since the M23 group intensified its operations in the eastern region.
