Turkiye is currently experiencing its most significant protests in over a decade.
These demonstrations have been sparked by the arrest of Ekrem Imamoglu, the mayor of Istanbul and a perceived threat to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s rule.
Over 2,000 individuals, including journalists, have been detained as part of the crackdown on protests.
Despite efforts by authorities to curtail media coverage, demonstrations continue, with protesters flocking to the streets.
