Mandalay was once called the ‘city of gold’, but now it has the stench of death.

An earthquake struck near Mandalay, Myanmar, causing devastation and a large number of casualties. The death toll from the quake and subsequent aftershocks has risen to over 2,700, with thousands more reported injured and missing. The quake also affected Thailand and China.
