A small plane in Belize was hijacked by a man who stabbed two passengers and a pilot before being shot dead by one of the wounded passengers. The plane, carrying 14 passengers and two crew members, was traveling from Corozal to San Pedro when the incident occurred. The hijacker, identified as Akinyela Taylor, demanded to be flown to Mexico or the US. After circling for nearly two hours, the plane landed at an airport in Ladyville, where authorities responded to the emergency. The two wounded individuals are receiving treatment, and the Belize police commissioner praised their heroism. The motive behind the hijacking remains unclear.
