According to media reports, a shootout occurred near Pahalgam, in the southern part of the region, resulting in the deaths of over two dozen individuals.
Mr. Dujarric conveyed Mr. Guterres’ sincere sympathies to the grieving families, stressing that attacks targeting civilians are inexcusable under any conditions.
