Columbia University student, Mahdawi, is released on bail while he contests deportation from United States.

Mohsen Mahdawi, a student at Columbia University, was released from US immigration custody on Wednesday following a judge’s decision that he should be allowed to remain free on bail. This decision comes in response to the Trump administration’s attempts to deport Mahdawi due to his involvement in pro-Palestinian protests. Addressing the public outside a courthouse in Vermont, Mahdawi expressed his lack of fear towards the US president.
