The Houthi rebel group in Yemen has reported that 15 individuals have been injured during “US-British” airstrikes in and around the capital city, Sanaa.
According to a statement from the health ministry, the majority of the injured are from the Shuub district, near the city center. Additionally, another person was injured on the main airport road.
This incident follows a missile attack by the Houthis on Israel’s primary international airport on Sunday morning, prompting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to pledge a response against the Houthis and their “Iranian masters”.
The involvement of the UK in the airstrikes remains uncertain, as the Houthi group has previously accused the US and UK of joint strikes on Yemen.
The group launched a missile towards Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday, causing panic among the terminal’s passengers.
