Israelis Protest Government’s Plan to Intensify Campaign in Gaza
Israeli spokesmen said the expanded ground operation would include “a wide attack, involving moving most of Gaza’s population,” as well as the “holding of territories” by Israeli soldiers for an indefinite period of time.
“There’s no reason to continue on with this war. What we did for one and a half years, last one and a half year, and we couldn’t succeed. We won’t be able to do it now. They just want to hold the strip of Gaza and make a new settlement there.” “Hearing that we’re going back to war is not what we wanted to hear. We have seen that hostages die during warfare. We know that the deceased hostages might get lost as the bombing continues. And we are dreading this moment, and we want to see a solution. We want to see a definite solution that brings back all the hostages, the living and the deceased ones, so we can stop this suffering.”
