A 28-year-old man, identified as Paea Teu, has been accused of stabbing a 54-year-old man and assaulting a 36-year-old man while being transported from Villawood immigration detention center in New South Wales. The incident occurred on Thursday when Teu violently attacked the two men who were transporting him from the center to Sydney airport. Following the attack, Teu fled the scene and was on the run for two days. A 24-year-old woman has also been arrested and charged with harboring an escaped inmate. The injured men were treated at Westmead Hospital. NSW police conducted an extensive search and arrested Teu later in the evening on Friday. He has been charged with causing wounding and grievous bodily harm with intent to murder, as well as wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Teu’s bail has been denied, and he is scheduled to appear at Parramatta local court on Saturday. The woman accused of harboring Teu has been granted conditional bail and is set to appear at Campbelltown local court on May 22nd.
