Investigation underway following the “questionable” vanishing of a 17-year-old girl: Twin crime scenes established in the vicinity of Bundaberg | Australian news update

A 17-year-old girl named Phoebe Bishop has gone missing after failing to board a flight, prompting a police investigation into her “suspicious” disappearance. In connection with the search for Bishop in southern Queensland, a car was seized and a property was declared a crime scene. Bishop was last seen near Bundaberg airport on May 15 at around 8:30am, carrying luggage and wearing a green tank top and grey sweatpants. However, she did not check-in for her booked flight and has not been seen or heard from since. The police also declared a property in Gin Gin, where Bishop was living, as a crime scene and seized a grey Hyundai ix35 that is believed to have taken her to the airport. The police have stated that they are treating her disappearance as suspicious. They are currently appealing for dash cam or CCTV footage of the vehicle near the airport or in the Gin Gin area. Anyone with information regarding Bishop’s whereabouts is urged to contact the police immediately. Bishop was described as being 180cm tall, with pale skin, long dyed red hair, and hazel eyes.
