“US Warplanes Target Nuclear Facilities in Iran: Fordow Site Destroyed” – International Affairs News

The United States has executed what President Donald Trump described as a highly successful attack on three nuclear facilities in Iran, according to an announcement made by the president on social media.
The strikes, which include an attack on the heavily guarded Fordow enrichment plant located deep within a mountain, mark the U.S.’s direct involvement in the conflict between Israel and Iran.
In a post on Truth Social, Mr. Trump stated, “All planes are safely returning home” and congratulated “our great American warriors.” He further declared, “Fordow is gone.”
He also warned Iran of further strikes unless the country immediately stops, concluding with, “Now is the time for peace.”

It is still uncertain whether the UK directly participated in the attack.
Among the targeted sites was Fordow, a secretive nuclear facility hidden approximately 80 meters below a mountain and one of Iran’s two crucial uranium enrichment centers.
In recent days, there has been considerable speculation about possible U.S. involvement in the Iran-Israel conflict, with much speculation centered around whether the U.S. would be best positioned to destroy Fordow.
U.S. media reported that six ‘bunker buster’ bombs were employed to strike Fordow.
