NATO members approve an increase of 5% in defense spending prior to the crucial summit in The Hague

During the upcoming week, it is anticipated that allies will pledge to allocate approximately 3.5 percent of their GDP towards “hard defense,” covering provisions for weapons and troops. Additionally, a further 1.5 percent will be dedicated to defense-related investments, encompassing areas such as cybersecurity and military mobility.
