According to initial intelligence assessments, the recent U.S. military strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities did not result in the destruction of the core elements of Tehran’s nuclear program. Instead, the strikes are believed to have only caused a temporary setback, likely for only a few months, according to reports in the US media. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed it as a “historic victory,” asserting that the strikes would prevent Iran, which is considered Israel’s main adversary, from acquiring nuclear weapons.
