Ukrainian President and European Rights Organization Conclude Pact for War Tribunal in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed an agreement with the pan-European rights organization, the Council of Europe, to create a special tribunal. This tribunal will prosecute top officials responsible for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The court will focus on the crime of aggression committed during the invasion, which started in February 2022. In theory, it could potentially bring to trial senior figures, up to and including Russian President Vladimir Putin.
