Hungary asks EU allies to skip Pride event blocked by police.

On Wednesday, Hungary issued a warning to its EU allies not to participate in a Pride march in Budapest. Despite the mayor of the capital giving authorization for the event, police had banned it, marking the latest action in Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s ongoing crackdown on the rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTQ) community.
