After more than sixty years of conducting international humanitarian efforts, USAID shuts down amid the Trump administration’s crackdown.

The functions, remaining staff, and activities of the agency will now be incorporated into the US State Department, effectively concluding its humanitarian assistance work which USAID advocates claim has been instrumental in saving numerous lives globally.
