Videos on social media reveal a luxury yacht engulfed in black smoke as it catches fire in St Tropez, located on the French Riviera, on Thursday.
The fire occurred on the Sea Lady II, a 41-meter vessel capable of accommodating up to 10 guests and available for charter at a cost of €65,000 (£56,000) per week.
Initially, firefighters faced challenges accessing the yacht to control the blaze, while emergency services swiftly moved surrounding vessels and established pollution barriers.
Authorities believe the yacht is likely to sink within the port, and the origin of the fire remains under investigation.
