The Special Olympics, held from March 9th to 15th, is the world’s largest sports and humanitarian event, bringing together over 1,500 athletes from 100 different delegations participating in eight sports, showcasing inclusion, acceptance, and unity. In its founding in 1968, the Special Olympics aims to combat the prejudice faced by individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting their participation in sports and advocating for their rights.
