Egyptian leaders to outline strategy for post-conflict rebuilding in Gaza during upcoming Arab Summ

Egypt’s chief diplomat asserts that his nation’s strategy to reconstruct Gaza following 16-months of combat is feasible and does not necessitate the displacement of its inhabitants.

Badr Abdelatty made these remarks subsequent to conferencing with the Palestinian premier in preparation for an upcoming Arab summit in Cairo where Egypt intends to unveil its reconstruction blueprint.

The conflict in Gaza has devastated the region, transforming it into a desolate landscape.

“The sole assurance to dismantle the pattern of aggression and violence lies in the existence of a political outlook, instilling hope among Palestinians that their rightful aspirations can materialize–in the form of an autonomous state upon all their ancestral lands,” articulated the foreign minister.

Abdelatty continued, asserting that Egypt’s plan of action is practical, with articulated short-term targets that are “completely feasible without necessitating the relocation of any citizens from their lands”.

Following President Donald Trump’s proposition to uproot Gaza’s two million residents and revamp the area as a real estate venture, Egypt has unveiled its plan.

Trump envisioned the United States oversees the Gaza Strip’s transformation into a “Middle East Riviera,” a vision that would bar Palestinians’ return.

Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammad Mustafa, endorsed Egypt’s stance as a progressive move toward a unified Palestinian state, emphasizing the urgency for Gaza and the West Bank unification.

“We aim to consolidate the operational, administrative, and security entities to establish a coherent state, governed by a unified system, law, and a singular defense,” Mustafa declared.

He expressed his discussions with Abdelatty on this matter and expressed hope that, with the consensus and support of fellow Arab nations, these efforts would proceed, and the summit would endorse the plan.
