Francis Resumes His Duties After a Five-Week Hospital Stay Over Pneumonia

Pope Francis has returned to the Vatican after spending five weeks in the hospital due to a severe case of pneumonia that posed serious health risks.

A large crowd gathered outside the hospital to welcome him as he was released.

According to doctors, Pope Francis will need two months of rest and should avoid gatherings with large groups or strenuous activities. However, they are optimistic that he will be able to regain his usual routine.

The 88-year-old leader of the Catholic Church experienced two health crises during his hospital stay, but by the start of the fourth week, doctors confirmed that he was no longer in critical condition.

Many believers around the world expressed relief upon hearing about Pope Francis’s release after closely following his 38-day medical journey and worrying about his recovery.
