Gaza’s blockade by Israel results in a month without additional humanitarian aid

According to the United Nations, it has been one month since humanitarian supplies were last able to enter Gaza.
Jonathan Whittall, the head of the Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance, informed reporters on Wednesday that approximately 2.1 million people are trapped, subjected to bombings, and facing starvation.
“As of today, 64% of Gaza is under active forced displacement orders or situated within the so-called buffer zone, rendering 64% of Gaza inaccessible to its population. Nowhere and no one is safe,” stated Whittall.
He further mentioned that since the breakdown of the ceasefire, the displacements and re-displacements of Palestinians have resulted in around 300,000 individuals being displaced within the past few days alone.
In early March, Israel unilaterally blocked the aid corridor from Egypt, and resumed its full-scale bombing of Gaza on March 18, thus violating the ceasefire with Hamas.
Due to the lack of fuel, some bakeries in the Gaza Strip have been forced to shut down.
