A 79-year-old British man, Edgar Charles Frederick, died after being hit by a vehicle associated with Kenyan President William Ruto’s motorcade in Nairobi.

According to the UK High Commission, it is aware of the incident and is seeking further information. Meanwhile, social media footage showed an injured man lying on the road near a busy shopping area, subsequently covered with a traditional Maasai shawl.
Officials stated that the involved vehicle was part of the regional administration’s support team for the presidential detail. President Ruto was in the area at the time for public functions.
