The victory allowed Ankalaev to take home Pereira’s undisputed belt, marking the first loss for the Brazilian fighter. All three judges sided with Ankalaev with scores of 29-26 and two of 28-27. Ankalaev’s tactical and strategic approach took the win from Pereira, who has been the biggest star in the sport lately.
