The interim President of Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, has established a new transitional government with the goal of reconstructing the country’s government institutions following the ousting of Bashar al-Assad in December. The newly appointed cabinet features representatives from Syria’s various ethnic groups. Notably, ministers from the Alawite, Druze, and Christian communities have taken their oaths of office.
