Is Donald Trump influencing the future of Europe-US relations?

According to Ed Luce, the national editor for the Financial Times US, President Trump is identifying a global power gap. Luce believes that President Donald Trump views numerous European countries as branches of the Democratic Party overseas, effectively rendering them his opponents.

Luce speaks with host Steve Clemons, suggesting that the series of European leaders visiting Washington to present their proposals to the ongoing issue in Ukraine will not have the ability to alter Trump’s sentiment on Ukraine or Europe in its entirety. He states that the United States now perceives the world as a jungle, as problem-solving is no longer the focus, but rather profit and legitimate power-driven methods.

Luce expresses that the power vacuum left by the US will evolve into a treacherous phase. This will be a time when “the revenge of geopolitics, the return of history” takes place.
