The primary focus of these attacks was the southern city of Khan Younis, where Israeli forces struck residential homes and a makeshift tent, as reported by Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary from Deir el-Balah in the center of the enclave.
Jamal al-Mdhoun, a Khan Younis resident, recounted his survival of an early morning bombing that claimed the lives of at least nine individuals.
“We were peacefully sleeping and all of a sudden, homes were leveled, roofs collapsed onto innocent women and children. They’re firing missiles powerful enough to reduce mountains to ashes at children,” he said.
“We retrieved eight lifeless bodies, all of them women and children – not a single man. Their claims that they’re targeting fighters are false. Their aim is to kill any individual with a Muslim identity. Those innocent women and children were all annihilated,” he added.
