Large Fire at Iraqi Hypermarket in Kut Results in Loss of Fifty Lives and Injuries

Kut city, in eastern Iraq, experienced a large fire at a hypermarket, resulting in at least 50 fatalities and injuries. The governor of the province confirmed this information to the INA state news agency.
Footage on social media displayed a five-story building engulfed in flames overnight. Firefighters were visible in the videos, attempting to control the fire.
The reason behind the fire has not been determined, but the governor declared that the preliminary outcomes of the investigation would be revealed within a 48-hour timeframe, as reported by INA. The governor also mentioned filing lawsuits against the owner of the building and the mall.
