The contest for the state Supreme Court has become the costliest ever as a billionaire aims to fend off any challenges to Trump’s policies.
The tech tycoon handed out oversized cheques at a rally in Green Bay on Sunday, amplifying the spending in what has already been labeled the most expensive judicial race in U.S. history.
Similar actions were taken by Musk during the November presidential election. Efforts by Democratic rivals in Wisconsin, a contested swing state, to block these donations on the grounds of election interference have been unsuccessful.
The upcoming April 1 election sees conservative Brad Schimel facing off against Democratic candidate Susan Crawford. Liberals currently hold a 4-3 majority on the court.
Musk has become deeply involved in this judicial election, which is perceived as a litmus test for Trump’s first few weeks in office. He believes liberals would use the court to alter voting districts and influence future elections in the swing state, should they win.
Addressing the crowds on Sunday, Musk emphasized the significance of the vote, suggesting that it would determine the control of the U.S. House of Representatives and, by extension, shape the future of Western civilization.

Earlier attempts to block these donations were rejected by the Supreme Court.
Democratic Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul argued that Musk’s actions violate state law, stating that Wisconsin prohibits offering anything of value to induce voting, yet Musk has done just that.
The Supreme Court did not provide a reason for its decision to not take up the case.
Trump’s Agenda
The election outcome is crucial as the court is set to make rulings on key issues including abortion rights, union rights, and voting rules, which could influence the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential election. It is also part of Trump’s strategy to prevent judicial bodies from thwarting his policies, confronting legal challenges across immigration, state institutions, and foreign policy.
Musk argued that if Crawford is elected, it could pave the way for a liberal-controlled court to redraw electoral districts, essentially gerrymandering and depriving Wisconsin of Republican representation.
He further suggested that a liberal court would try to halt the government reforms being implemented for the American people.
Musk also announced that he would pay supporters $20 for each voter they recruit in the coming two days.
