A 13-year-old boy named Yazan Musleh lies in a makeshift hospital bed in a tent set up near Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza. He survived an incident on Sunday when Israeli forces fired on civilians gathered to receive aid from the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is supported by the United States. Yazan’s father, Ihab, recounted the terror as gunfire erupted, leading to Yazan being shot and rushed to the hospital by onlookers. Beside Yazan, both his mother and brother Yazid were present. The GHF, initially touted as neutral, has faced criticism, with its head resigning before distribution citing concerns about impartiality and the Boston Consulting Group severing ties. Other families also recount their horrific experiences of being shot at while seeking aid for their hungry children, along with one individual who had previously received aid but was injured during the second attempt.
