  • A Moscow court sentenced five Ukrainian soldiers to up to 17 years in prison over “terrorism” charges related to Kyiv’s incursion into Russia’s Kursk region.

Ceasefire

  • Trump proposed that the US take over Ukraine’s power plants to secure these critical facilities.

International Reactions

  • Following calls with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Zelenskyy expressed confidence in the unity of Ukraine’s European allies.
  • A US delegation, including National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, is set to meet with a Russian delegation in Saudi Arabia to discuss further talks on the conflict, covering “energy and infrastructure.”
