Fighting
- Before dawn on Thursday, Russia launched an attack consisting of missiles and drones on Kyiv, resulting in the deaths of 16 people, including two children, and injuring over 100. The Ukrainian government stated this, while Russia’s Ministry of Defence claimed responsibility for targeting military airfields, depots, and businesses linked to Ukraine’s military-industrial complex.
- Russia announced its complete control over Chasiv Yar in eastern Ukraine after 16 months of conflict, a claim denied by Ukraine as “propaganda”.
- Ukrainian SBU-operated drones targeted an electronics plant in Penza, Russia, producing combat control systems for the Russian military.
